The CEO of Clarity is Edwin Birnbaum

 

Edwin BirnbaumEdwin started his career at Procter & Gamble, where he was instrumental in the launch of the first ever liquid detergent ball. He subsequently was a management consultant at Bain & Company for 3 years before returning to line management at Dixons Stores Group, as Marketing Director/CMO.

Later he joined the board of Wickes as Marketing Director/CMO. After growing sales by over 50% he was promoted to CEO of Continental Europe. Subsequently he became Divisional Managing Director/CEO of the largest Belgian retailer Maxi GB/Carrefour Belgium, where he introduced a new marketing positioning leading to record sales growth. Following GB's acquisition by Carrefour Edwin moved to CHEP as Vice President. At CHEP he set up and managed the returnable container business across Europe and led the launch of the largest global RFID deployment in Florida USA, demonstrating the potential of RFID to transform the business, and radically improve CHEP's competitive position.

Edwin left CHEP after more than 5 years to set up Clarity as an independent consultancy in 2003, where he offers strategy development, sales boost, mergers & acquisition and integration support, project management, major transformations, management of plant closures, plant optimisations, supply chain, restructuring work, cost reduction, and other profit enhancements. Clients range from large multi billion Euro's companies to small start-ups.
